Jonathan Shorr Gallery represents artists in all media, daring to develop new language in their art work. These artists are not uncomfortable with strange and different language.  Against the grain of the conservative, safe and derivative contemporary art market, these artists take risks and embrace difficulty with regard to their style while developing something new.

     This Gallery exhibits artists who are attempting to explore, in narrative and technique, forms that are unprotected by rules and history. We are a laboratory where something interesting and fresh is happening.  These artists tell us what it's like to be alive in 2008.  Jonathan Shorr Gallery is an adventurous community of artists, curators and writers producing shows with dramatic impact, testing alternatives, and inviting people to use their imagination to find out what they are looking at.
